A MISSION OF LEADERSHIP
DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN THE RIVER REGION OF ALABAMA
Mission
“We must live together as brothers.”
Dr. King
Bridge Builders Alabama was established with the mission to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who will lay aside individual, social, economic, and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.
Since its inception, our organization has sought to address the very issues of racism and injustice which our country continues to struggle with today. Much work remains to be done. But by embracing the fundamental premise that diverse communities matter in our collective pursuit of human dignity, Bridge Builders Alabama is confident our mission and our work are not in vain. We will continue to promote our Mission Statement and our commitment to living together as brothers and sisters.

Who we Are
Serving five counties in the River Region, Bridge Builders Alabama provides two one-year leadership programs for high school students from public, private, parochial, and home schools. Our purpose is to help ordinary youth find their voice, experience their power and build positive relationships to do the extraordinary.
Bridge Builders Alabama is designed to promote communication, understanding and trust among these developing leaders. Community projects, discussions, adventure education and first-hand experiences with community leaders are the training tools.
Bridge Builders has destroyed and overcome the obstacles of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination... I can and will create generational implications of positivity, peace, power, and progress.
